Honey

Generally the kitchen has been chilly and so the honey turns to choney. Honey crystalises and becomes crunchy.

Our honey was in a plastic bottle. This bottle cracked. So squeezing the bottle to get the honey out failed completely! I blame the microwave.

I cracked too, and cut the bottle open. With the aid of a butter knife I transferred the honey into a small container.

And the best part?
I get to lick the bottle clean!!

I’ve got a lovely bunch of hobbies, YAY!!

So I got a hobby that needs a fair amount of skills development. I’ve been wanting to finish my dummy [puppet] for a long time. The skills I need to develop revolves around the use of my hands – fine motor control.

My headphones cracked after Rex took them for a spin. Simon (sie42) used earmuffs as the base for his headphones – this brought hope to my helpless headphones! Great thing is that it was just a thin wire that broke away from its connection that halted my use of a badly chewed, yet ‘fixed’, headphone…
I also had a chipped cup that needed a repair – I fixed that on last night!

My power tool that I use has accessories that are not easily accessible for quick-changes, so I modified the plastic container. It is still a work in progress, but at least it is looking good and is pleasing to the eye!

Yet another mod I have in the pipeline is a car radio. It looked awful so I pulled it to pieces – it has a tuner ‘built-in’ on the board that holds the most important fragment of the car radio.. I will be separating the amp from the tuner, and while I’m at it I shall use strip-board to make it as small as I can! This does need a heat sink, so I’ll start with some design possibilities first.

Have a look at my ‘workshop’ that makes use of my lighting hobby’s equipment! A pin spot and a T-stand!!

My lair
focus FAIL, but at least you can see the door frame!?!

Why I use a light…
Before the LightAfter the Light
